- Why am I being charged for my free
account?
|

You
probably have certain advanced
services turned
on. To turn off your advanced
services, log in to
your
control
panel
and turn
off
any
advanced services you may have turned
on which you do not need. Many can be
found under Domains --> Web
Services. (i.e. asp, cgi, php, etc.).
Simply turn off the services you don't
need/use and the system will automatically
credit your account for the unused service.
If there is anything which you aren't
credited for, open a Support Ticket and
we may be able to apply a one time credit
to your account for you. |

- How long does it take to set up
a new account?

It takes 5-10 minues to set
up a new account. You'll receive your
log-in and account information automatically
after sign-up, via E-mail. Your log-in
information will give you instant access
to your control panel and domain account.
Therefore it is important that you provide
an accurate e-mail address during the
registration process, otherwise you will
not receive your login instructions. |

How do I register a domain
name? |

You can register or transfer
a domain during the registration process.
Or if you already have an account with
us, simply log into your control panel
and select "Add New Domain", and it will
take you through the process of registering
your domain. New domain name registration
is: $20 per year. |

What type of domain name
can I register? |

You can register a brand
new domain name (www.yourname.com), or
transfer your existing domain name. You
also have the option to create a 3rd-level
domain name. (yourname.phoenixrising-web.com).

Is my credit card automatically
billed each month? |

With Phoenixrising-Web, you
can rest assure that you will NEVER see
or expect any charges that you do not
recognize from us. Why? Because it is
impossible for us to do that.
First of all, our entire payment process
is based on a "Refill" system. So we
never automatically (or discretely like
other hosting companies) charge your
credit card, without you pressing a
submit button and approving every charge
from our company. Every time your account
balance reaches $0 or even gets negative,
our system will notify you to refill
your account balance. This will ensure
that every charge we make is approved
directly by you. Not by us!
Secondly, we never store any of your
credit card information on our server.
To ensure our customer's 100% trust,
our management decided to use a third
party payment gateway. All payments
will be processed either by PayPal,
Inc (www.paypal.com). Pay Pal is huge
and respectful payment processing companies. |

Can I cancel my account
if I'm not satisfied? |

We have a 15-Day, Money
back guarentee on our paid accounts.
Simply contact customer support
or billing to cancel your account. Refunds
are made within 24-72hrs. We don't
have a money back guarantee on our free
accounts as they are free. You
only pay for a setup fee and as long
as the account is setup, we have done
the work. From that point forward,
the account is free to you. |

How do I upgrade my services? |

As an existing customer,
you can upgrade your services at any
time
via your control panel. To add resources,
bandwidth, or additional storage space
you must first fill your account balance
in your control panel, before adding
the
resources. If you wish to change to a
different hosting plan, you will need
to contact customer support via by
E-mail at: support@phoenixrising-web.com.
If you have any problems adding resources
to your account please feel free to contact
us and we will step you through the process. You
cannot cancel an account and request
a refund, in order
to take advantage of a special offer.

How do I upload my files
to my account? |

When you join our service
you wil receive a welcome email with login
and ftp instructions. You can upload files
to your account using the control panel,
or with any other ftp utility such as:
WS_FTP, CuteFTP, Dreamweaver, Macromedia
Contribute, etc. |

What is the path to Perl? |
 |
The path to Perl on all of
our servers is:
/usr/bin/perl
Note that this is the common default
path used on the first line in most
Perl scripts so in most cases it will
not be necessary to edit the path to
Perl in the scripts you install.

Moving/Transferring from other
web host? |
 |
This section provides instructions
on moving your website to us from your current
web host with absolutely no downtime.
Domain Name Transfers:
*The only requirement is that you do not delete
your current web hosting account until your
new one with us is setup. Follow the steps below
to ensure ZERO downtime and not lose any business
off your website.
1. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR NAMESERVERS JUST YET
NOR DELETE YOUR CURRENT WEB HOST!
2. Establish a hosting account with us. You
will then be able to access your new account
via the server's hostname which you will get
on your setup email. Start uploading your website
files to your domain folder through FTP or any
other site publishing software (FrontPage, Dreamweaver,
HomeSite, etc.)
3. In your welcome email, you will get a temporary
link to access your NEW web site before anything
goes live. Verify that everything is working
on your NEW site (graphics, web pages, links,
etc...)
4. Once verified, go to your registrar and
change your "name servers" to those that are
mentioned in your setup email.
5. Your site will be updated WORLDWIDE within
24-72 hours. Note: although you may be able
to see your site is on your new server within
possibly 12 hours, please allow a complete 72
hour cycle before you delete your old host.
6. Enjoy your new site @ Phoenixrising-Web.com.
If you have any problems during the transfer,
please contact our support
staff and let us know how you've done so far,
and we'll help you finish it all up! EVEN
